UNDERSTANDING YOUR ESTIMATE

A starting point for
your next conversation.

Payback is the estimated number of months for cash savings to recover the initial investment. A shorter period means a faster recovery.

What does the estimate assume?

All time entered as repetitive pallet movement is automated and reduces paid labour hours. Each AGV is assumed to match an operator’s task rate, work for the full shift and serve successive shifts. Employment costs are estimated at 1.3 times base wages.

The model assumes no additional installation cost, no equipment sale proceeds and no net difference in ongoing operating costs. Your site’s throughput, layout and actual labour arrangements need to be confirmed.

Why can more repetitive work give a similar payback?

More repetitive work increases the potential savings and may also increase the estimated number of AGVs. Because the fleet is rounded up to whole units, the payback can change in steps.
